Huntsman, Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman,
Fellow of the Kentucky
Professional Photographers Association.
Dave’s love of photography is visible in every image he creates. Clients
are treated to the inner peace that is evoked every time their images are
viewed and enjoyed.
His photography has been exhibited at Disney’s Epcot Center
and proudly displayed and cherished by the many families he has
photographed.
At the PPA International Convention, February 2006, Dave was honored by
Kodak with the “Gallery
Elite Award”. His photograph “Winter in the
Bluegrass
”
was selected as the “Best Gallery Award Image in the World”. He has been
honored for "Best of Show" in KY in 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 1996,
1995, 1991 & 1990, and has been named "Master Photographer of the
Year" in 2008, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 1995, & 1991. His images have
been chosen many times for top honors in photographic competitions around
the
United States.
Mr. Huntsman’s artistic, creative and technical abilities have earned him
the distinction of being the first of only two photographers to
receive the Kodak Gallery Award in all four categories in a single year.
He has earned 21 Kodak Gallery Awards during his photographic career.
Mr. Huntsman is a Past President of the Kentucky Professional
Photography Association and the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce. He has
been honored with the Professional Photographers of America "National
Award" and the Kentucky Professional Photographers Association
"Kentucky Award", these awards are presented for service to the
profession of photography.
Dave is a sought after lecturer on the subject of Portrait Photography and Adobe Photoshop.
He is also an Affiliated International Photographic Jury Chairman who has
judged at the local, state, regional and international level. These
opportunities allow Mr. Huntsman to evaluate and enjoy some of best images
from the top image makers around the world. Dave has incorporated many
ideas from these images into his unique style of photography.
In his leisure time, Dave enjoys boating, being around the water, scuba diving and finished 4th in AHRMA GP200 Roadrace Series in 2007. He and his wife, Lucie, also
enjoy social ballroom dancing. They are the proud grandparents of two
incredible grandchildren. His life experiences and many hobbies and
interests over the years give him an interesting and unique perspective of
the world and the many beauties it holds.
